Where is ANOOK?
Anook is a dance collective based in Utrecht that offers house music parties. During the COVID-19 pandemic, people longed for dance parties, and Anook decided to host parties with their tagline "where is a nook? I want to dance again."
The first edition (2023) we created a world full of little nooks and architecture, where a dancing character was dancing by itself, because it was during COVID times.
After a few years, we wanted to rebrand it in a more consistent, colorful way. We made the character more abstract and analogue. We use handcrafted (nostalgic) techniques to give a sense of being offline and escaping the digital world.
Every edition, I provide an artwork together with Eva Bernsen. The
visual identity is also designed by me.
