The Caring class is a research study on precarization of paid care workers in long-term care and its relation to health, conducted by Saskia Duijs. The study is both urgent and socially relevant, and takes an intersectional perspective.
I created multiple drafts and sketches for the cover. The initial design was quite activist, but as I progressed, the tone became softer, in an attempt to
capture the fragile position of care workers.

In addition, I aimed to make the book accessible to a wider audience, not just researchers. To achieve this, I used a friendly design and made space for the personal stories of the interviewees.
